Thinking On Death

Thinking On Death

A Poem by Jason van Dongen

I would be lying if I said I'd never thought of death,
Nor ever painted in my head the scenes of my last breath;
I wonder if I'll die alone or if that day there'll be,
One amongst all those I've known still there to sit with me.
