One Hundred Petals

One Hundred Petals

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

Emotions fall like seasons.

"
Falling...the leaves float upward reconnecting
the timeless tree revives lives lost to a losing war.
(Your)
Alive again with wondering delight into the blushing wind
the wind touches the spiral branches of untold stories.
(Heart)
Beating...the everlasting sound waves of omniscience
supreme knowledge weeps into the vessels of precious life.
(Will)
This way is peeled...to the glowing light among the stars
remembrance dances with the skeletons in the lifting snow.
(Feel)
Surpassing its reach to the afterlife...It seeks all those who lost
beyond perfect and simple shattering mistaken lives yet you bloom again.
(Its)
Still within its heavy up rising gnarled roots there is something for you
love and hate slithering into another world seeks the broken and unbalanced.

(True)

One hundred petals from the tree of bliss remain hovering like frozen raindrops
selfless creatures feel the power of reanimation into a garden of devotion.
(Power)
Growing blooming souls in the bright sun...it soaks up the misguided seeds
swirling emotions begin to flourish into a new world made by the determined.

                                           (Relics begin to crumble)
                                           (Water roars and splashes)
                                           (Tilled the wrong way...flashes)
(You have the choice to put it down)

Your writing is terrific to read aloud. It's very heavy and intense. I enjoyed.

I like the imagery, enjoy the sentiment and love the message! Omniscience... that is a great word and a forever unattainable desire for at every moment static conforms to the elasticity of motions cascading creations confounding constant... You think in familiar ways Mr. Shadow

This has an ethereal touch to it with some very well chosen allegory to put forward emotion in its many forms. It flows well with a mixed feel, combining doom and hope.

Thank you for the review. I hope you enjoyed it.
Very vivid and poetic poem of dancing skeletons and snow falling like soft petals around their bones. You really can imagine this happening before your very eyes. And then the rain starting to fall. Turn the skeletons to human beings and the weather into a beautiful picture of summertime and perfection. From dark to light. Evil to good.

Thanks Dawn. Had to fix some things but I believe I got it down close. Hope you enjoyed it.
This is beautiful. I'd be more careful on the possessive form of it and "it's" and take the second "o" from losing. It's pretty perfect otherwise. I especially love the imagery of dancing skeletons and snow.
