Zombified

Zombified

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

We will decide your fate.

"
"Walk with me talk with me
Awaken my old cold bones.

            (Never)

Alone and fading I've been lost
Forgotten from the age of brimstone.

            (Give)

Crying in this crypt of illusions
Still the way is shut to the living.

            (Away)

Begging for release of this old life
Snowfalls in the night of believing.

            (Your)

My choice of was not given so soldier on
Yet the hands of time still tick my life away.

            (Soul)

My lantern is diminishing slowly in the darkness
My mind is still lost to those who claim all in gray.

             (To)

I asked and they stood smiling with eternal hunger
They speak in riddles within my mind and yet I do nothing.

           (Them)

All seems to be theirs in this lonely and decaying world
Sublime and with no crime it's my bidden to go forward and hunting."

Ash and urn in hand, walk then flee...
sway and pray, you don't see...
us coming for we are the key...
in the ultimate form with no plea.
