Once More

Once More

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

We Are What We Do.

"
"The wind...it carries away my silent thoughts
echos whisper something new like a river.

Desperate...i denied what's true with old
shattered glass reflecting my lost imagine.

I stand alone inside this hollow house
yet again there is no one to talk too.

Vines of old grow new within these walls
holding it together with simple constriction.

Ten years? really has it been that long
i live to have forgotten this apocalypse.

But it remains within my time failing
to realize what has come to be again.

Cities destroyed like paper crumbled up
 thrown against into yesterdays news.

The ones with control have so much power
it makes since that we loose all that's dear.

Hope sends another test to those who are willing
yet again it is those who live another day win.

Passion and desire burned away from this/our humanity
ages ago while others simply hold onto the little things.

Love brings memories on those who cry everyday
but others simply try to understand its power and fail.

Yet i die everyday while holding onto hope
and on this day i hold love with a tear...once more."
