'Moisture'

'Moisture'

A Poem by Jason S Breed

Without you
I am the sail with no breath of wind.

Without you
I am the song that no one sings.

Without you
I am a sun devoid of light.

Without you
I am the moon missing the starry night.

Without you
I am a river barren and dry.

Without you
I am a question with no reason why?

Without you
I am the tree on a solitary plain.

Without you
I am a window with many cracked panes.

You are the moisture that runs through my veins
Cooling my anger and my disdains.

You are the gravity that keeps my trajectory true
As I find it hard to function when I am not with you.
