No-Thing but a Funky Monkey

No-Thing but a Funky Monkey

A Poem by NightShade

I am Nothing.
Descendant of Nothing.
I come from Nothing and go to Nothing...

Shouting colours in the dark
Awed by an Orchid Moon
Through toy binoculars I view the outer expanse

A caterpillar crawling through space
and counting starflakes one by one
devouring cosmic dust while

phonetically sounding out emotions
from saccharine sweet scroll sheets
sealed with protoplasmic glue

Prying apart layers of sculpture
in the image of Goddesses that adorn
salads from Eden's primordial forest

Filled with the chattering of creatures
who bang away the millennium
hoping to recreate the sumptuous

flavours of Bill who Shakes His Spear Furiously
with technomancers' arcane devices
disproving thought experiments of latent

boy band philosophers trading
fruits of the forbidden for
meat of the unbidden and

kissing waterfalls of amber
Submariners of kinky infection
with bias toward profits from

all different species of feces
which is important s**t
because fecal matters

in this vomit encrusted
linguistic illusion that
self absorbed sponges

do anything but suck the
gelatinous monkey chunkies
from purple, syphilitic, moose phallus

stained lingerie worn by
emasculating coquettes of
malcontent mother pus buckets

that think they learn
great tidings of sloth
and vicious violations

When the animal talks
we all listen to personal
savageries yet deny that

vacuums make better wombs
than penis envy false father
icons decrying dooms from above

When it's safer and cleaner
to finger our wieners than
wear those c**k-ring promises

and just admit that we might
be at fault for diving into
ancient rivers of sludge

and just BE the
funky monkeys with
more wrinkled cortices

from the Eternal
No-thing Divine as natural
order selections prove that

I am Nothing
Descendant of Nothing
I come from Nothing and go to Nothing

and

If I were a monkey,
Would you SPANK me?!?

I would spank you, stuff you in the pantry, call the ghost of Tupac and Kadafi to collect the past due rent, drown you in the mother f-king puss buckets, because "all different species of feces which is important s**t because fecal matters" right after I reiterate "every one is given a grain, a rose, and to pay close attention because it loses it's funny in interpretation" so this, is a night shade nearly in tears from the selfishness. It's a genius of a nightmare, and when a student comes will you teach it to "not", just not...? have faith, love, patience?

The progression of sounded meaning, does encase the reader into safety, then with your clever and sharp with, you take a blow near the knuckle that is altogether refreshing, well done, good read.

Interesting - I didn't find it funny - althought it cuts deep with the edge of wit... Stronger comedy than the stuff that makes you laugh and feel good - this is more like George Bernard Shaw's type of humor. The kind that makes you smile dryly at the density or wit of his characters, and yet stings with the truth.

It cuts to the heart of a very good question - if left to believe that we truly come from nothing, then we are left with the very difficult question of why should anyone be held accountable or judged on anything...

I like very much that you left that for the reader to ponder - rather than answering it for him/her. Extremely well done.

Your funniest work, by far. I howled with twisted laughter.
