Lunatic Fringe of the Lunatic Fringe

Lunatic Fringe of the Lunatic Fringe

A Poem by NightShade
"

Apes With Alchemy making a Foundation of the Philosophers' Stone...

"
Charlatan Mystics mass produce Voodoo
for sacrificial sheeple to contemplate
as they study Sacred Sutras
in catalogs of mail-order Spirituality

They tout ignorance as Faith
and slavery as service
Giving the throng
illusions of choice

Lunatic Prophets decry the Age
for it's unknowing wit
While idiot gods
sell salvation for
a dollar on TV

The culture will fall flaccid
like the Preachers' phallus
if penitents won't kneel
to savor the juices of
consumerist lies

Mentalist Wizards sew Space-Time philosophies
that madmen butcher for animal gains
Yet the stitching is seen in a seamless Whole
by the spiritually destitute thinkers of Being

Whining Losers screech cantatas of devastation
for fear that they have wasted Gifts
and wrecked tools of determination
their Will depleted for false pleasures

Starry eyed Dope Fiends dance blissfully
concentric spirals in flowing robes of many colours
as Pushers of absolute Un-realities
sharpen Occam's Razor for the Rite

Ancient Archetypes sing through Quiet Magicians
that fear the Stake and the Flame of injurious Consensus
Unlike the herd, We hunt as a Pack
sitting on the sidelines shouting
"Death to the Image!" & "Hail the New Flesh!"

Eclectic Engineers of the Void have determined
that rock bottom is where ever
Worldly Saints of religious massacre stop digging
but the slurry filled Caverns threaten to
drown us all in Her Womb

Vagrant Hermetic Scholars intuitively
stimulate feminine soft spots of Earth
as Rustic Prodigies vigorously stroke the Sun
Each fulfilling the Bloody Promises
made before Litigious Lack-wits twisted Letters to lie

Behold! As Lip-Service Lemmings dash
to be the first to catch thermal waves
that went stale eons ago

Marvel at Priest-Kings resplendent in gore
devouring the morsels off the fast emptying plates of children
and demanding another pound of flesh from the Unborn

We are the Lunatic Fringe of the Lunatic Fringe
Graciously bearing witness and aid, lighting sable brightness
Declaring: "Death to the Image!" & "Hail the New Flesh!"

One and Always Zero...

Reading this was like watching someone vomit, jolting, dramatic, and disturbing. I don’t like the sexual overtones; you can tell when a writer has a seared conscience. The language becomes violent and graphic. I recognize why we seek that dark ink, nothing else writes visible for people who’ve become desensitized to life.

I love your vocabulary and admire your philosophical, albeit tempestuous, insights. I agree with you about religion being corrupted by money. The love of filthy lucre gangrenes the flesh of men.

Concluding thoughts, I wouldn’t applaud this kind of writing at the expense of watching you vomit with these vile emotions. No one wants to write this way forever, somehow I desire peace for your writing. Like the joust, no knight wants to perpetually be thrust into violence.
Just some thoughts my friend,
Sincerely,
LoneWolf

This was very dark...and honest. (And very, very true). The concept is powerful and one can only hope that some of this clicks with the world. Although I must admit that I was a bit afraid to read it after seeing the picture of a clown!

I loved this piece. The imagery is amazing and the message it tells is indeed very bold.
I wish to see more wickedly unabashed poetry like this in the future.
