Blame YourselfA Poem by Jasnil ChandTruth about our selfish actions today
I cannot believe where I stand
Everything here has come to an end The land which long ago was green Is now grey and this is cause I was mean I lit the fire which turn things to ash I filled the ocean with my trash Oh! Nothing will happen I said I messed up with decisions so bad Hundreds of organisms now out of sight Being selfish I set the forest alight There is now more plastic than fish in the sea Even speechless they must have made a plea There was time for things to get better Apart from me nothing else did matter Man thought they were the greatest of them all Without plants and animals mankind had the greatest fall Animals and trees cried out in pain All their requests went into vain Hunted, beaten even killed Deep pockets with money were filled Things now will never be the same Point fingers at yourself for you are to blame Too late to cry and bid them goodbye Congratulations human you will painfully die. © 2019 Jasnil ChandAuthor's Note
