Creepy and Short - stories

1. It was 12.30 A.M and dark. I woke up with a jolt to the sound of a knock on the door to my room and opened it, still holding the doorknob. I was shocked. It was a complete wilderness drenched in darkness instead of the rest the house. Scared to the bone, I took a couple of steps back into my room and closed the door and turned around to get to the bed. Alas, my room was gone. I turned around again, the door was gone too.

2. I was working on my laptop one evening and on noticing the reflection of a woman on the monitor, I thought it was the maid until she brought me coffee but not from behind me. The reflection on the screen still appears when i work in that position. I live alone and pay for only one maid.

3. My roommate and I live behind the woods in a single BHK. I always think that she is absent-minded and leaves the drawers open; but I close them without complaining until she left the house a month back and I still close them. I understood that it was not she who was absent minded.

4. I was in the secluded aisle of a library and was handing over the books i took to the helper who was walking behind me. I wanted to check one of the books I gave him and turned around; to see the stack of books floating in the air.

5. Every time I wash my face in the washbasin and get back upright behind closed doors, I am always late. My reflection is already there.

6. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was at office, working alone. I heard footsteps and saw that my boss came to me and asked me to meet her in her room in 5 minutes. I ran like a mad person out of the office and never returned. My manager had committed suicide 3 years back on the same day.
