True Love's Lost

True Love's Lost

A Poem by Jasmin

How you come back
From the memory, I thought I forgotten.
The memory I long to forget.
Clear as the day
I saw your face on my mind.
I miss you now
Like I missed you then.
And so I am once again,
In this spiraling circus den.
Showing me all the pain and happiness,
I have once then
Promising to myself, to never go back again.
Each reminisce, sometimes the same
But it all comes down in the end.
Tears will fall, lamenting the choice
If not chosen
Will still fall into desperate void.
After this re-battle.
I will regain myself with the realization
That what has long gone
Is just a memory
That no matter how long I try to forget
Will only haunt me again and again
To show me a memory
Of you and me that has long forgotten.

I'm not quite sure if the grammatical errors are on purpose or not. I feel the melancholy, though!

Thank you for the review!
we experience true love more than once. I guess pain is a part of it;
we grow.. we become strong... we move on.

a good piece!
