Quarantine

Quarantine

A Poem by Jasmin

As the day goes by,
My mind went to the days that gone by.
Those days when freedom is freely given,
For those multiple options are now gone
Instead we are given only one.

How we are caged with this cage-less prison
Tied to our own without any reason.
The reason being tied to some few
Only to endure this time that we had
Doubting when this will end.

Hoping to cope up with the sanity
Of our world getting smaller and smaller
Into the confines of our own little reality
Expanding our imagination
To the point of limited possibilities.
Hoping to reach out every single life like our own.

Thank you ved for the review!
Makes me think of the struggles we've all faced during this pandemic and trying to quarantine ourselves. It's hard. I'm glad to be fully vaccinated and my grandchildren (that I'm raising) are too. So we can socialize more.
