Wishful thinkingA Poem by Jasmijn
I had never seen a shooting star before
Desired to catch a glimpse of the majesty itself to finally wish selfless as I am not what was best for me but what was best for you But when I eventually did I was as happy as a child who got an A for math Should've known the stars took me for granted and the milky way made fun of me when I saw your eyes locked away in a different world I was not familiar with and the white devil coming out of your perfectly imperfect nose Screw you stars who should be guiding me home with your endless light you gave me nothing but darkness I was too obsessed with the cosmos the moon and all it's secrets Did I kno I'd ever hope for it to entirely explode
