Shadow of DeathA Poem by Jasiel MoreiraMy first poem in career. From here i can only get better.
Shadow of Death By Jasiel Moreira I walk through the valley in the Shadow of Death, I feel cold and emotionless with every breath. Feel the hairs standing on end, As you see it coming around the bend. Getting ready to embrace the pain, That flows right through you, straight to the brain. That constant nagging that you love to hate, Increases and intensifies as you commiserate. I don’t know what they’ve taught you, or what you’ve been told, But my body no longer lives, and so it’s been sold. The highest bidder at the auction gate, Now owns new merchandise, destined for hate. I was bred to serve a purpose but am longer needed, The general gave the order and they all have retreated. The past leaves nothing but painful memories, Of a war-ravaged land and millions of refugees. The land in which we once sowed has been engulfed in fire, Once a glowing garden, now a funeral pyre. Now you must realize that this is the time, Your body is now forfeit, your life is now mine. I am unstoppable, no one can teach me, No matter how hard you try, you will never reach me, I am not of mortal measure, No time for mortal pleasure. Though some may call thee mighty and dreadful, thou art not so. I am the dreadful one, I deal the fatal blow. Never call upon me, or seek me I bereft, For my time is short, I am The Shadow of Death © 2010 Jasiel Moreira |

I really like expressing myself through poetry although the poetry that I write is dark and not at all what I feel. Enjoy as I will .. more..Writing
