Let Me Be Your Mouth

Let Me Be Your Mouth

A Poem by Jared Orlando

What I would do
to have
your every word
tattooed deep
into my skin
Scattered twisted
vining phrases
spiraling jostling
ebony lettering
Let me wake
let me sleep
to your reminders
Let me wake
let me sleep
with the way
your mind works
To be etched and
permanently stained
by you
Every mirror I pass
I see
your love
on my wrists
your whispers
on my cheeks
Use my body
as a canvas
with what you
need to say
to the world
Let me be
your mouth
when no one
seems to be listening
