I wrote this story once...

A Poem by Mr. Henley
"

To my mutt - Leo. Cheers to fourteen years!

"
I wrote this story once,
About a peaceful death.
It was about my dog,
Who had little time left.
He went with nature,
Back into his roots,
He died in a field,
Decomposed to soot.
The dog was at peace,
His family was too,
But when death actually came,
Peace wasn't easy to do.
From six to sixteen,
From dirt and dust,
Through good times to bad,
I loved that mutt.

I wrote this story once,
About a peaceful death.
But, it was only a story,
There's nothing peaceful about theft.

This almost brought tears to my eyes! I utterly agree with the last line, too!
