Will Not

Will Not

A Poem by Johnny A. Rojas
"

After hearing all the bullying and all the poor souls that have been lost because of whatever they went through i decided to put thoughts to paper

"

I took the gun out of the drawer

Stared at the barrel and wondered

...

I took the lock and used it

I placed it back in the drawer

Nothing was more freighting

Then the thought of using the gun

Nervous I wondered back downstairs

And hid under the covers again

Feeling of insecurity

Doubt feeding on my brain

I took a good look in the mirror

And I chose to be here

Then in a shallow grave somewhere

So here is my stance

I will not give into your name calling

I will not think less of me

I will not turn and cry

Cause you have this negative thought

Or something up your a*s

To think that by bulling me

I will break down and give up

Your words are hurtful

But I have a higher respect

For my life and it’s worth

So go on call me a f*g

Call me a weirdo

or whatever you prefer

I’m worth more alive

Then to give in to your lies

Very timely and poignant - hard to imagine what these kids go through. This ends on a note of hope and tolerance.
