Noah

Noah

A Poem by Johnny A. Rojas
"

"Looking to be saved"

"

Running across the sand

Finding a feeling that I never had

Nowhere to be found

Screaming but without a sound

Like a storm without the clouds

Simplicity is my torture

Now solitude is my shelter

Every now and then

I hear but I am not awake

Sewing the wound in my heart

But the needle slips and falls

As I try to grab the thread

The sun beans it rays upon my head

And now I must go inside and lay

My head starts to pound the ground

As I turn and find no one around

I’m hiding from the world

Swimming trying not to drown

I’m flying high on solid ground

A church; where is my steeple now?
