A Poem by S Jack JA
"

- my world is distorted with my eyes contorted -

"

In a world of distortion,

I see the beauty of misinterpretation.

Where civilization refines the mind,

But the eyes create confusion.

The world bestows its blessings,

But my eyes twist them into messing.

A chaos of colors, shapes, and sounds,

With a cacophony of noise all around.

The trees sway gently in the breeze,

Their leaves rustling with grace.

But through my distorted reach,

They seem caught in a frantic race.

The flowers bloom with vibrant hues,

Their scent filling like perfume.

Yet to my warped mind’s eye,

They seem to be mere color blind.

The sky is a canvas of cerulean,

Dotted with fluffy white clouds' sheen.

But to my skewed-eye illusion,

It's a swirling, twisted delusion.

The sun shines bright,

Casting shadows and light.

Yet to my distorted eyes,

It's a blinding, harsh sight.

The world is a masterpiece,

With beauty and wonder,

But by the eye of misinterpret,

It's a jumbled, tangled thunder.

When the world is seen,

Through a lens of distortion,

It’s a world of confusion,

A world of frustration.
