Torn

Torn

A Poem by Michelle Allende
"

Made for a contest "broken heart"

"

A broken heart torn in two, alone, ripped and left to beat alone;

No one to nurture or assist the pumping of love that once ran through.

Feeling broken, without care, want or feeling inside;

If the world fell apart it would leave you with no harm, for a body with a broken heart is enough in itself to make everything go numb.

Not a word or stab can affect you in such a state, so broken so torn with nothing to say.

How can you move on, how can you live you think to yourself.  You have to remember where it is you came from, the strength that lies within. The strength your too numb to feel, Let it grab you, hold you, love you, fill you.  Let it create in you what was once whole and full.  So when something physical comes your way to try and break your heart, pull on the strength that always lies within... Keep it near and let it shine.  Love with all you have and all you know.  No one can tear this strength down.  Your heart may break, but will never be diminished.
