My Sunshine

My Sunshine

A Poem by Michelle Allende
"

My daugher is a blessing in my life.. the reason why I kept living.. I love Janiyah with all my heart and soul... Thank you God

"

The minute I knew you were in my womb my heart filled with glee;
I always knew you’d be a special part of me.
I remember the day our eyes first met;
That feeling with me I always kept.
I enjoyed watching you grow into a beautiful seed;
I just prayed I’d be able to provide your every need.
When you first called me “mommy” my heart was warm;
When I first brought you to daycare my soul was torn.
A minute away from my love, my life, my little one;
When the clouds come around you are my sun.
Now I watch you as you speak, walk, learn and write;
You are growing so fast that im losing sight.
Sight of how my baby used to be;
No matter what age I will always love thee.
I pray for your strength, endurance and protection;
And that one day you can also share that affection.

Mothers should always have a special love for their children, and I believe you do. I'm sure you've heard it before, but enjoy her all you can while she's small, because when she gets to be 13 or 14, she may suddenly know everything while you know nothing. They'll come back to you and seek your advice a few years later, thankfully.

Ohhhhh, this is lovely... so much love! Your feelings just pour out of every line. Your daughter's a lucky, lucky little girl to have so much love coming her way.

Thank you for sharing such a sweet and finely put poem.

Sam's right, when she hits the teen thing, you're going to wonder "who is this strange being swallowing my refrigerator whole?"

Nicely done!
