Where Did I Go Wrong

I've been up for thirty minutes, but this was an idea that stuck in my head so I wrote this piece.

 We were so happy

There was no fighting

I thought we were going to make it

I thought you were the one

 

We didn't have a fight,

Oh no, not a single one

But you still said those words

Those words that ripped my heart out

 

I knew this would happen,

It was just a matter of time

Apparently I wasn't good enough

To make till "forever"

 

I told you this would happen

I told you we wouldn't make it

And now my heart is broken

Oh, where did I go wrong?
