Ever wanted to run away?

Ever wanted to run away?

A Poem by JanieB

Ever wanted to run a way?

Ever wanted to run away?

Away from the hum drum life

Full of the mundane..

Where would you go though?

A beach?

White silky sands

Palm trees swaying in the wind

Turquoise waters of the ocean.

A mountain?

Rugged landscape

Stunning views

Wildlife at it’s best

Tranquillity enraptured.

A far away land?

Full of mystery, magical and exciting

New smells and tastes

New cultures and people.

The ocean?

Warm waters beckoning

Into the depths of what lies beneath

The magical sea of wonder.

Dreams can become real

What do you want?

Life’s too short to wish

Feel empowered and go, go..

gorgeous~ I especially like how you relate this exuberant movement forward not as a running away from things but a running toward possibilities~

Wow-this really captures the essence of runaway paradise. Especially the Ocean scene. This is really good. And I do wish I could runaway to these kind of places. :)

Can I answer yes to all of the above? I want to run away all the time. The only problem is I keep bringing myself along when I run, and the problems of life seem to follow closely behind. So much for Escapism! I can relate to your words and the feelings of wanting to run away from the every day, as I am sure that most of us feel this way from time to time.
