Written for a contest..one has to use the words "Winteresque", "Springfelt", "Autumnal", "Summery", and 4 to 6 stanzas.

The Seasons

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The winteresque scene outside

Drew me to the window

Pure white snow lay upon the ground

As I stared at the beauty that beckoned.

 

Then the springfelt weather appeared one day

Little flowers like daffodils and bluebells

Lay like a carpet of yellow and blue

The rains started, and the grass started to grow.

 

The summery smell of the freshly cut grass

The sunshine, the warmth

The laughter, the picnics

The best days came then.

 

Autumnal days came

The leaves changed colours

Of the beautiful trees

That once were green.

 

We are blessed to have such beauty

Given to us to enjoy, breath in the air

Look all around you

And fill your hearts with happiness.
