Love

The yearning pulling at my heart

Like an enormous pain

Deep within my soul

Pulling so, so hard.

 

I love you

Really..love you

From the bottom of my heart

What an amazingly powerful feeling.

 

I’ve never felt this before

Never felt the draw towards someone

So intensely before, like a magnet

Drawing me deeper and deeper.

 

I want to cry, I feel so happy

Happy to be part of your life

Hold my hand so tenderly

Pulling me closer to you, closer and closer.

 

My heart pounding

My knees weak

How can this be

The feeling of what they call love.

I like it, I think and although I do agree with Tate, I believe the closer and closer gives it a good feel. So all in all I enjoyed this very much :) Great write!

Ok, so I really like this poem. It catches the reader right from the first line "The yearning pulling at my heart..." oh yes...we all (hopefully) know this one...and I love the line ".....like a magnet"...because in my experience, that's love...it draws you in like a magnet....and I love the final stanza..it#s almost as if the writer can't believe the feeling is real..great write..:)
