SandyA Poem by JanieBGod bless all those that are affected by this awfully sad disaster.
Sandy
A fairground roller coaster Stands alone on ground full of destruction Once a fun place to go Now the sadness that is left is incomprehensible
Hurricane Sandy has been devastating Leaving behind the aftermath of despair Homes have been burnt down People now with ashes as memories
Floods on the streets Engulfing homes and businesses Dragging with it the debris Boats and cars strewn everywhere
Subways under feet of water Cascading down the escalators Into the tunnels where the trains should be People home bound with no access
Filling up on essential supplies Water, bread and tinned foods galore Unsure of when they will resume their lives Sitting at home just waiting
Lives lost to yet another tragedy Families in distress and pain Loved ones missing Please God..no more pain and suffering..
