The Healing Season

The Healing Season

A Chapter by My Fair Lady
"

Saving a Marriage. One day at at time

"

Wilst thou enter into the healing season?

Would thou walk along frozen pathways

covered in sleet and icy tears?

Could we endure the freezing confessions

The bitter wind that follows

In this shelterless place?

Wilst thou enter into the healing season?

Would thou bend and breath

before spewing daggers of icy angry words?

Could we endure the pain of seeing

each others blackened frostbitten digits

or worse, a frozen heart of the one we love most?

Wilst thou enter into the healing season?

Would thou lay down beside me

in only naked skin knowing I am colder today than you are?

Could you endure the pain of holding me

that I may get a little rest so that tomorrow

I might do the same for you?

Wilst though enter the healing season?

Would you abandon yourself

to find yourself even stronger?

Could we endure the pain of not entering in

if it means love is lost?

Wilst thou enter into the healing season?

Would you keep your vows

of sickness and health?

Could we endure the pain of watching each other die

remembering in the end, we will be stronger, better and more alive than ever before?

Author's Note

My Fair Lady
Following a seven month seperation after my husbands self inflicted gun shot, I have taken a year off of writing to work on my marriage. This is the first of what I am sure will be many works regarding marriage and relationships in the weeks and months to come. Please feel free to leave your comments and your reviews. Thank you.

There is a side of love some call compassion, with it comes sacrifice for the loved one, without it, love is incomplete, and there will be no healing seasons in relationships.

Just as things that don't kill you make you stronger when loved ones stick together it can strengthen there bond.
