SilenceA Chapter by My Fair LadyAnother thought about being a survivor of domestic abuse
Disillusioned thoughts A plea for peace and quiet those noisy angry walls
Hateful words and screaming She and the children hide From the truth of the Seriousness of it all
Unable to bear another insult Wish for change
Hope tomorrow would be better- it never is
Truth speaking silence All that is left now
No wonder there are those That have not the strength to leave
She that would rather have a broken arm Or dark glasses to hide bruise
To pack their things and simply go Induces a new kind of fear
The silence is almost as frightening © 2011 My Fair LadyAuthor's Note
