Gratitude

Gratitude

A Chapter by My Fair Lady
"

Another one of my simple theories

"

I never have liked the competitive nature of some

Greed driven, oversights of simple things that are

The way their home has to be a little better

they have to drive a nicer car

Or have a more beautiful wife

with store bought b***s and designer clothes

Their kids must get better grades

or be better athletes, put on better shows

Why not be happy with what is

Simplicity is bliss

Joy in the morning sun

A good night, I love you kiss

Where is the gratitude

Where are the humble and meek

What about joy in little things

Why is life without deemed as bleak

Where is he who finds beauty in wisdom

Appreciation for love and life

Where is she who actually finds joy in

Being a poor man's wife
