When you are checking someone out.. what are you thinking?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Perhaps today I will secretly love a stranger

I will let his energy into my heart

Just for a moment

 

Perhaps I will notice something about him

Like the scar above his eye

Or the way he smells, clean and brisk

Today I will capture him in my

Photographic minds eye

 

I will not feel guilty for thinking

I would like to lie in his arms

Make love to him in a thousand ways

Surrender myself to his touch

His kiss

 

It isn’t longing, or even loneliness

Just a little secret love

Today I will let my imagination take me there

If only for a moment

 

Thoughts that I can never express

But that he may benefit from

If only he knew someone noticed

 

He will not know

That I had a secret love affair with him

Instead I will serve him his breakfast

And smile politely

As I watch him walk out my door

i loved this ~ i tell my husband to see me as a stranger sometimes because the predicatable gets stale and the effort runs short ~ different in comparison to when we were first strangers :)

That final stanza made me smile .. such a wonderful ending to a stream of adventuring thoughts and words!
