Wow, too many times as children, we keep secrets too well. Child abuse, espcially of a sexual nature ruins children for a lifetime. Great senyru!

This is a perfect poem. Almost a haiku ... or it could be a haiku since I don't remember the rules of haiku.

I wrote a review before reading the tag which is fine but after reading the tag the review didn't fit because it now has another depth of emotion that I previously didn't see.

Still, this is a perfect poem, evoking a range of emotion in three short lines. Though, now, I can't honestly say "I understand." This is powerful and the topic so emotional it's taboo.

The purpose of poetry is to humanize people that otherwise we either don't know or can't relate to because we feel they're too dissimilar to us. And you do this. Without knowing who this poem was for, or about, the emotion evoked could resonate with a thousand people who've never experienced the trauma of child abuse. It makes the emotion real and allows us to more perfectly empathize.

I do still need to get into poetry. It's the language that will change the world.
