Keeper of Time

Keeper of Time

A Chapter by My Fair Lady
"

For Miranda

"

Keeper of time

You crazy little b***h

I wish you could be free

You are trapped inside yourself

You dig your bare naked heels

Into the flanks of that stallion

As you ride bareback

On the shore line

Then slap its a*s

As you watch it run free

You swim freely in the ocean

And dance upon the high wire

But refuse to let your

Feet touch the ground

Where others have tread

You would rather

Slit the throat

Of those that hurt the children

Than sit with your mouth shut

Why don’t you say what you really think?

You wear the dress of swirling smoke

And hide in your little places

Learning and watching all

Keeping all my secrets

Playing patty-cake rhyming games

With your sister

Don’t worry

I’ll keep your secrets

I am forever yours

You said it! I have a twin sister and she's great! Your poem is well written!

I kept reading this over and over, thinking of different women I've been close to as well as my Sisters. What's so great about this poem is that you can think of it in terms of different stages of life - from Little Girl Years on through old age. At least that's what I feel...

I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again - you have such a powerful, real, easy-to-relate-to Women's Voice. I just Love you!

That was extremely emotional

you took me somplace else than I'm used to trailing you~ and knocked me off my feet~ with the quick uppercut of emotions and sideswipe of extremely sharp ire~
which leads me to the conclusion that passion is the main force within your poetic streams~ wether you are serving sultry~sensate~romantic fare or a sideship of venom~ you deliver both sides of the human coin with literary perfection adn deeply affecting nuances interspersed between the poetic vines of your creations~

never grew up with my half sister~ but I've watched my own daughters love and hate on each other as only siblings can~
