Within the deepest depth of night

Hypnotic sleepy dreams

Allow my roaming spirit

To pass through time and space

 

To my mother I would go

To share a cup of tea

and lay my spirit head upon her shoulder

 

Let it dance in fields of flowers

And visit foreign lands

To ease the crying of a hungry child

Or comfort a dying friend

 

Let those I come in contact

Feel me, but not see

As I plant kisses on their foreheads

And comfort the weary

 

Let it sit shotgun at a Nascar race

Ride a wild bull

Let it climb the highest mountain

And ride bareback, the Run for the Roses

 

Let it dive from the highest cliffs

Waltz at a masquarade ball in the clouds

Take a skydive without a plane or pack

Run naked through jungle trees

 

Let it hunt with the wild lion

Float on still waters of every mountain lake

Make love in a thousand places

Uninhibited and free

 

Let it whisper sweet encouragement to

The homeless, forgotten

Suicidal and abused

 

Let it linger with other spirit adventurers

And swap spirit escape stories

Around campfires

As soft guitars sing Kum Ba Ya
