Your reflection

From a distance

Cannot tell what you feel

Two dimensional division of touch

 

Looking into your eyes

As they watch me with love

Slightly speak of what you feel for me

Can’t reflect how you love me

 

I feel the warmth waves

Sends from your distant place

Filling my body, my soul

With your softness

With your love

 

My reflection

From a distance

Is in an unseen mirror

What I feel for you cannot

Be seen with the eyes

Only with the heart

Looking, longing

For division to dissolve away

 

I reach for you

Climbing mountains

Diving oceans 

Reaching your beautiful image

Hold you at the same side of the mirror

While our reflections merge

Melt like our hearts did

So long ago

 

Looking at was once myself

I see only your affection

Only my own longing to make you smile

 

Pull me through to your side

Let the reflective glass be as water

Reach through I will take your hand

 

Walking you through the unseen mirror

Our reflections swirl with no motion

One body now

One soul

No,

 

No more distance to reach
