The Beast Inside

The Beast Inside

A Poem by Kat

Winter ice born from summer ashes
Raining hail on broken bodies
Hideous crimes committed in beautiful places
Injustice done with kindness
If one must perish by his blade
A magnificent setting must be their last
Scattered limbs torn from a battered torso
What once was a pretty face
Now unidentifiable remains
Ruled by an ugly beast inside
He seeks for forgiveness he will never find
