Dear Best Friend...

Walking together in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.....

When tears fell from my eyes,

You were there to brush them away.

When I was lost in confusion,

You were there to say that everything would be okay.

When I stood before you falling apart,

You were there to lend me your heart.

When I felt like no one could understand,

You were there to hold my hand.

When no one was with me to friend,

You were there to come and stand.

When no one else was left to care,

You were there...

Missing your helping hand,

Thanking you my best friend...

There is a lovely innocence to this write. It is very affectionate in its theme and content and has been written with a loving heart.

Your rhyme is very lovely throughout and very consistent to the end. A beautiful dedication to one who you must care for and admire strongly. Nice work!

yes, wrote for someone really very loving, unfortunately, our friendship was limited... so it's a dedication to her. I hope she will move ahead and gain success....
It has been years since we departed, but still, I remember each moment spent with her, she was my first bestie....and perhaps the best one too... I miss her, and hope the same from her side...

wow... that's a great idea.
And so far as mine are concerned, you will get everything phase wise...
first, here, I lost a best friend...
then, I moved to a new school and have written about new besties... And then the crushes that came into my life leaving a long term memory till now...well, most are based on friends, but you'll see a different type of friendship. Along with time, my poetry grew, I began writing about rain, nature and things which disturb me as well as which I like the most....

I understand completely. I've lost quite a few friends over the years. Coping gets easier as time goes by, but there will always be a void in your heart for that person/people. You can look at it as though a piece of you is missing, or that the person has a piece of your heart.
