The Dark Prince

The Dark Prince

A Poem by Jane Winters Rogers

The Jezebel
I have met a dark prince at night he's
On the prowl,, you can bar your doors
And windows but he'll get you any how
For he get's inside your mind
Casting his oh so tempting spell
Using charm and wit that at first
Seem to do no harm. Yet soon
You too have caught his fire while
He takes you for a roller coaster
Ride and before you know it you
Don't remember who you are
When his wild ride is over he
Pulls to a jarring, bruising
Stop he casts you out in the dark
Confused and hurting not quite sure
Where You are. Slowly you recover enough
To wipe the soot off your modest
Dress only to discover that the
Dress you wear is scarlet red,
Everything about you has been
Changed and as the roller coaster
Changes gears and the dark prince begins
To pull away you say the ancient
Name that he screams from
His black pit he
laughs at your
Stupidity, you'll never be the same

B
i know how this feels like word for word

Only he is the stupid one

You are simply innocent and beautiful at heart
and always will remain so

Beautiful piece by a beautiful lady
