Night ThoughtsA Poem by Jane Winters Rogers
Night thoughts
The years have taken their toll we who love you have now grown old...., shedding tears,... remembering when you walked away, (standing straight and tall ), up those airplane steps, ....amid the emptiness we felt..... Forever young we see you now , you never age.. you stay just the same.a happy carefree young man who died fighting in Vietnam.. I find it hard to understand all that you endured on that foreign land...you will never be forgotten....your thick black hair remains the same while our hair changed to shades of gray. We were left here on this Earth to walk our paths, while you walked through Heavens gate....into Gods' peaceful bliss with no time for a final kiss... © 2015 Jane Winters Rogers |
