The Dark Eyes

The Dark Eyes

A Poem by Jane Winters Rogers

The dark eyes
They stare intently from the pic I find it so hard to look
Away, like a butterfly in a field of wild flowersI am free falling
Deeper and deeper
Your eyes are intense I burn, I ache, I cry, I feel I am captured,
completely helpless under your gaze, I want to reach
Out and let my fingertip gently caress your stern brow, I long
To bite your lips and kiss you deeply until I. Hear you moan, from
The sheer taste and thrill of my urgent searching kisses

I'm not a poet so I can't comment on structure or other technical stuff like that.

As a reader, I loved the imagery, it beautifully captures the heart aching longing of being away from someone. The two shorter sentences add a nice intensity to those phrases.

Good job!
