I taste the air

I taste the air

A Poem by Jane

I taste the air

Adrenaline through my veins

I don’t want to hear

Any reason, shady complaints

I am an angel, dear

Handmade by your chains

I shed no tear

Stubbornly, I hold the reins

Riding- riding

Into the rain

Our tomorrow is here

Past the strains - beyond the floodplains

I see it clear

Like two magnetic airplanes

We both draw near

"I am an angel, dear / Handmade by your chains" Those lines threw me off, which I loved. And angel handmade by chains. Reminds me of an abusive relationship, or simply a toxic relationship that is somehow still appealing. Sometimes pain is appealing. Nice job
