Tick

Tick

A Poem by Jane

He smiles in half- parted lips.

One half in confidence. The other,

Ignorance.

Eyes mingle. Necks turn.

Bottles get flipped. Humans,

tricked.

In a hoodwink, his smile

Becomes a sneer.

Tick.

reminds me of lyrics of an old song..."smiling faces sometimes, pretend to be your friend, smiling faces tell lies, and I've got proof"

we can be drawn in by fiction and caught in a web like a poor fly awaiting the spider's touch.
