Just A Little Bit Of Life

Just A Little Bit Of Life

A Poem by Jane Smith

I wish to breathe just a single breath

A moment of life before death

To elevate before impending degression

Feeling joy before returning depression

To break through water resting above

All I need is a benevolent shove

A Sliver of light in a shadowed cave

Just a beautiful memory to take to grave

I wish for clarity amid heavy mist

To stop the blood flow from my wrist

I pray for tears, to not be so numb

To change the person I have become
