Fear of Driving

Fear of Driving

A Poem by Nightingale

One day, one mistake.
Early morning sunshine.
Creeps through the window.
The happiness in my heart.
Fades, replaced by fear.
That never goes away.
Nudging and pulling.
Me in the dark dept's of despair.
Life is precious.
Life is short.
In one day my hope was shattered.
In one small accident.
Seeing my life flash before my eyes.
In one short moment.
My feel for freedom flies away.
I am left alone in the darkness.
Of anxiety and fear.
How do I cope?
Only one day at a time.
One day, one mistake.
Early morning sunshine.
