I don't wanna be north of the ground without you

I don't wanna be north of the ground without you

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

You aren’t allowed to die first

Though death may be deliverance

Back into the void

Away from this evolved madness

I must take the first leap

I don’t wanna stand on frigid sod

Before a weathered stone grave

Knowing your skin is rotted

Your mind is decayed

And your heart unstirring

I’d never take the coward’s way

But my head would be six feet under

My heart would beat with no vigor

Strife would be my life

Once in my death bed

With withered skin

Or in an alleyway

Bloody and broken

Would bring my first smile in awhile

So promise me this one thing

I get the first leap

You may be sad without my company

But without yours I’d be deadened

Because I don’t wanna be north of the ground without you
