Arch King and Queen

Arch King and Queen

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

A pair they where

Matted black hair, piercing green eyes

Charming grins, hellish tempers

Broken dispositions, obsessive natures

Alike in many ways and only one goal in mind

Escape.

Yes, escape from everything

Escape from the daggers and judgments

Escape from the repetitive cycle of life

Escape from need to fix everything

Escape from their demons.

Alone in these thoughts until they meet

Only they could help each other

They were each the escape

She took his daggers and judgments

He was a break in her repetitive life

She could fix everything wrong in his eyes

They could house each others demons.

Everyone else saw danger

A pair so matched could do anything

Condemned they where

From their attire to their minds

She a witch

He a devil

To be killed on sight

Hung, drowned, beaten, shot

Any means necessary

Hand and hand

They walked passed them all

The pair knew the consequences

The first shot came

Than the second

Hand and Hand

Arch king and queen escaped.
