Forgotten

Forgotten

A Poem by Jamie R. Robillard Sr.
"

Written in 2014 a refactoring of a single verse written by my son.

"
The site will not accept this poem, I keep getting an error 003? What causes an error 003?

How it looms in the shadows
following me even now
in the twilight hours of my life

With nights fraught with strife
and days laced with misery
I ponder the cause
of my inequities

I forgave my foes
and forgave my friends
alas I see the ends of this means
I have forgotten to forgive me

Short but potent I like it. I have great appreciation for a poem that expresses so much in so few words, this is not something I have been able to master. I really like the message here as well life is not something easily moved on from and I can feel the struggle in your words. I have always found it easier to forgive other people than to forgive myself...there has always been some type of self loathing just under the surface that I have trouble getting past and the poem helps to express those feeling for me.

When the light comes on we may curse the electric bill but in poetry we celebrate the heavens.

You have read it before on facebook. It was your verse I refactored.

Ah lol I feel foolish now
I forgave my foes
and forgave my friends
alas I see the ends of this means
I have forgotten to forgive me

Like father like son, this was neatly crafted and above lines were essence of your poem. Truly enjoyed the read.
