What Gifts Do You Bestow Me

What Gifts Do You Bestow Me

A Poem by Jamie R. Robillard Sr.
"

Written in 2004 for a Christmas card for a friend.

"

Riches, fine clothes, some Jewelry

What are these to me

They are mine for but a moment

and then lost forever to me

My thoughts, my memories

Of friends I have made

Time will not fade

An eternity they shall stay

What gifts will you give me

A fine new trinket of any price

or a moment of your time

a shared moment of your life

It may seem I ask so little

How could I ask for more

It is not what you give me

but you that ask for

That is really good. You could feel emotion. It is just more then words on a screen.

Thank you Dark Rose Bud, that is what I always hope to hear.
I like how you symbolized that memories with friends was worth more than any kind of wealth.

Thanks Jamie, I am glad I was able to communicate that.
My thoughts, my memories
Of friends I have made
Time will not fade
An eternity they shall stay

The whole read was awesome, however above lines were brilliant.

Thank you Amos and yes that is the foundation of the poem. What the rest stands on.
