Cross Roads

Cross Roads

A Poem by Jamie R. Robillard Sr.
"

Written in 1987, one of my first works I still have a copy of.

"

No wrong, no right

No truth, no lie

No Good or bad,

this is our life

I know that I should let you go

My mind says yes

My heart screams no

In my mind, what do I have today

A mere reflection of yesterday

An empty place, where once you stayed

Like two roads that meet, we cross on by

I should have known, you could not be mine

but only for the briefest time

My chest grows tight

My eyes turn red

In my mind I feel so dead

Like two roads that cross on by

How could I believe you were ever mine

An illusion I twisted from wasted time

As you go your way, I’ll go mine

A path that leads so far from me

That never again shall we meet

About
First and foremost I am a humanitarian. There is nothing about me that is more significant. I do not wish to be remembered for what I have or will accomplish. I wish to be remembered for how I helped .. more..
