Wraiths of Thought

Wraiths of Thought

A Poem by James
"

Take it as you will

"

Memories and Wraiths flood and haunt me

Thoughts of touching you, oh, so taunting

A devilish voice plants seeds of despair

I miss our love, it was so rare

A rare love, almost too divine

After what I've done, I feel like swine

Doors open and doors close

I guess this is the life I chose

Of course, there's only one way out

Only, I'm reluctant, full of fear and doubt

I pray for something to make me clean

I only wish I knew what that means

I wish the world for you

I know you'll do all you can do

You're such an amazing person, very little you lack

You deserve better, I didn't watch your back

As much as I should have, I didn't, I was lazy...

And what happened after that night left my vision hazy

I hope no demons tease you with thoughts of us

I'm not worth remembering, I only cause distrust

You go and grow a better life

No more sorrow, no more strife..

I love you, always and eternity, all time

I'll miss you, but knowlegde of you doing well is just fine

For me...

I love the way that you touch every emotion somehow; sorrow, anger, etc and the fact that the narrator inevitably lets her go. Brilliant James, keep it up
