Cold Straitjacket

Cold Straitjacket

A Poem by James

I'm sitting in the padded rooms of mind

my straitjacket gets tighter everyday

It's so cold.

So tight..

So imprisoning..

I endure it for one reason

I feel safe

I won't hurt again

this way, no one gets hurt

so that's a plus

I'm staying in my padded room

with my straitjacket

as it grows tighter

warmer

safer

for everyone

Felt compelled to read this one too. Now the simplicity in this one really works great for getting the story across. Not much else to say within in it but yet it speaks volumes about the situation. Kudos on this.
