Sun Smiling...

Sun Smiling...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

The Summer Sun...

"
Sun Smiling...

Today the suns summer rays brings
a bright smile to my face,

I feel the warmth of Gods good grace
and understand that time is not to waste,

As I embark on my day,I first pray
and give thanks to the Lord for this beautiful
day and his warm embrace,

With that being said "I just wish it was the Cali
sun that was giving me this hug, I am in Colorado
where the sun is referred to be smug,

The Coloradans love their Rocky Mountains,
and I don't blame them but I love my Cali sun,
I find all my fun in the sun, beaches and babes,
not necessarily in the Denver haze,

But today the sun is smiling and I'm a mile
closer I feel it's heat and am taken aback by
this Colorado treat,

So as of now I will join the radiant sun in it's
smiling, shinning, beauty but I will day dream
of Cali and the beach, later today, tomorrow and
everyday until my return, I long to be where my
heart truly belongs...

Nice flow to this piece James. I do like the rhythm and rhyme to it and the blessings you shared on this sunny day of yours and your thanks for having that sunny day. I am from SoCal born and raised. I don't live there anymore but I miss it immensely.

The summer sun can do miracles when our heart and our feelings are frozen because of the dull autumn and the cold winter. It's my favorite season, James. Well done. :) Rudi

A lovely poem to read on a sunny summer morning. Whether in Colorado or California - I'm sure the sun is warm and bright. You are welcome on my little California beach anytime James.

The sun can dramatically improve our health, mind and mood...I understand this piece...too short its presence, Autumn is already in the air here, this year has gone nowhere! Blessings Jamestown...

it's always good to know where your heart is. nice penning. it's the small simple things in life that keep, and make, Us happy. the sun, the trees, the bird's whistle and the like.
